How a Rocket Works

 Rocket works on the principal of reactive force, yes as you know that for every action there is equal and opposite reaction and this is called Newton's 3rd Law on the basis of this law you can understand the working principle of a rocket or you can say rocket engine so when a rocket is getting launched into the space first at the start of engines the very hot gases released due to the combustion of rocket fuel when it get mixed with oxidizer and these gases release into the atmosphere through nozzles so due he the high pressure these gases exert a down word force on the ground and in the reaction of this a reactive force is being applied on the rocket and its attachments like satellite by the ground and atmosphere and the weight of rocket is less than the weight of ground so the momentum change appear on the rocket and it get accelerated into the sky.
